The bidding war

No one was ever proud of the statement built by the cheapest bidder.

As a rule, I tend to disagree with the philosophy of the three bids. Contractors will use cheap/cost-cutting concepts to win the job. This mentality takes the focus off of work excellence and places it on a “turn and burn” mentality. Your home is worth more than the lowest bid.

Strong research and references are on your side. There is no harm in taking your time. Get to know the contractors. Focus on their previous work and the success in their market.
